Holiday Base

Our photography holiday courses are held at the times of year when the light is perfect and the temperatures are ideal for getting around the island.

Image of a man sitting in the shadeThe pace of life on the island is more laid back and less hectic than during the summer months, giving fantastic opportunities to create stunning images of island life.

During April and May, people are more relaxed and the countryside is transformed into a multicoloured tapestry. Later in the year during the months of September and October the island is a hive of activity during olive pressing and wine making season.

Image of a window flower boxAntiparos is the perfect island to escape from the stresses and strains of everyday life. It offers a unique, friendly Greek island atmosphere with good sandy beaches and an impressive cave. A long, flag stoned pedestrian street forms the main thoroughfare, leading from the pretty fishing harbour to the Cycladic houses around the outer wall of the kastro, which was built in the 14th century as a fortified settlement safe from pirate raids.
The main street is completely free of cars, you can hire a car, moped, motorbike or bicycle or simply get a bus or walk. Close by you can discover small gently shelving emerald beaches that are unique to the Aegean coast.

Image of some foodAntiparos has many excellent quality restaurants and tavernas for eating out all reasonably priced. There are bars where you can go to enjoy sophisticated cocktails, imported and local beers or simply have a coffee and sample some delicious home made cakes.
